Brazoria County was awarded $1.4 million in HOME Investment Partnership - American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funding and $248,390.25 in HOME Community Housing Development Organization (HOME-CHDO) funding. Purpose of this funding is to increase the availability of affordable housing and/or non-congregate shelter, tenant based rental assistance, and supportive services for qualifying populations at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Qualified housing developers and non-profits may apply to receive grants to carry out these activities.
In order to review applications and select grant awards, it is recommended that a committee be appointed. Staff requests approval for the advertisement of RFA and to appoint a committee to review application submittals. The persons shown on the attached memo, their designee, or other persons as determined by the Court is the recommended committee.
