In accordance with Texas Government Code, Subchapter HH, the Court hereby appoints the Brazoria County District Court Judges, the County Courts at Law Judges and the District Court Associate Judges as Brazoria County Criminal Magistrates for the dismissal of any criminal cases filed in Brazoria County Justice of the Peace Courts. This Court Order will be a standing order and will include any subsequent elected or appointed district court judges, county court at law judges and associate judges. The appointment of Criminal Magistrate will not increase the salaries of the District Judges, the County Courts at Law Judges or District Court Associate Judges.
Further, a copy of this Order be provided to the Local Administrative Judge and the District Attorney.
