Approve the renewal with a 4.06% rate increase for internal contract “C #07-20 City of Manvel Solid Waste Collection and Recyclable Materials Collection” for the franchise agreement with the City of Manvel for the Angleton Service yard location.
The current term is set to expire on June 30, 2024. The renewal shall be July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
In addition, the franchise agreement allows for the modification of the rates based upon the CPI-U (Consumer Price Index rate for all Urban consumers). The rate increase was presented at the City of Manvel City Council meeting on April 15, 2024 as per the attached.
Further, the rate will increase to $232.24, for the six (6) cubic yard / 2 lifts per week container, and will be covered by the Facilities Management approved Fiscal Year 2024 utilities budget.
