Resolution - Rifle-Resistant Body Armor Grant Program, FY2025

WHEREAS, the Brazoria County Commissioners Court finds it in the best interest of the citizens of Brazoria County, that the FY2025 Rifle-Resistant Body Armor Grant Program, be operated for FY 2025; and
WHEREAS, Brazoria County Commissioners Court agrees to provide applicable matching funds if applicable for said project; and
WHEREAS, Brazoria County Commissioners Court agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Office of the Governor funds, the Court assures that funds will be returned in full; and
WHEREAS, Brazoria County Commissioners Court designates Brazoria County Judge L.M. “Matt” Sebesta, Jr. as the grantee’s authorized official. Said authorized official is given the power to accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Brazoria County Commissioners Court approves the submission of and acceptance of grant funding for the FY2025 Rifle-Resistant Body Armor Grant Program with the Office of the Governor.
Further, that a certified copy of this court order be sent to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department.
