Acceptance of a Portion of State Loop 419

That the following action be taken by the court.
Whereas, on March 28, 2024, pursuant to minute order 116667 Texas Transportation Commission removed from the State highway system a segment of State Loop 419 and transferred control, jurisdiction and maintenance to Brazoria County (hereafter referred to “transferred segment”);
Whereas, if the transferred segment is defined as State Loop 419 from former County Road 374 easterly to the intersection of State Highway 35. See map attached hereto as Exhibit “B”;
Whereas, if the transferred segment is not accepted by the County, a public road will exist without proper maintenance and control of the right-of-way;
Therefore, Brazoria County hereby accepts into the County Road Maintenance System the above-referenced transferred segment of State Loop 419 and is now identified as County Road 374 as shown on Exhibit “B”’; and
Further, that a certified copy of this order be furnished to the County Engineer.
