Approve entering into the attached Interlocal Agreement with Alvin College - Corporate College for a training and testing opportunity for employees of Brazoria County to obtain a Department of Public Safety Commercial Driver’s License, pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Tex. Gov. Code Sec. 791.001 et.seq.
Further, that under the terms of the Interlocal Agreement, College agrees to provide the training and testing as contained within the scope of work, for the sum agreed to be paid by the County.
The sum shall be paid from the Road and Bridge Fund.
The Engineering Department shall develop guidelines and criteria for determining employee eligibility to participate in the program, which may include longevity requirements of County employment. Employees participating in the program must agree to the Training Repayment Agreement Between Brazoria County and the Employee to be eligible for the program.
The County Judge is authorized to sign the above-referenced Interlocal Agreement on behalf of the County, after final review by the District Attorney’s Office - Civil Division.
A certified copy of this order shall be forwarded to the County Engineer.
