The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires Brazoria County to amend its annual Action Plan when changes are required to the plan. Brazoria County’s 2023 Action Plan was previously approved on August 8, 2023. The below amendments constitute substantial changes to the Action Plan and require a 30-day public comment period. Public comments will be accepted through January 18, 2024.
2023 Annual Action Plan
City of Lake Jackson - Scope Change-Revised scope: City of Lake Jackson will design and bid 1,828 square yards of street panel replacements for Oak Drive, Huisache Street, and Pecan Lane. CDBG funding remains unchanged at $237,500; City leveraged funding is $134,700, for a total project funding of $372,200.
City of Sweeny - Scope Change: Revised scope: City of Sweeny will replace approximately 1,500 linear feet of existing water line along Pecan Street, between 5th and 1st Streets, and add new fire hydrants. CDBG funding is increased to $200,000; City leveraged funding is $263,200; for a total project funding of $463,200.
