Job Order Contracts for Roof Repairs at Various Park Locations

Approve Gerald Hendrick as designated to make certification, pursuant to Texas Government Code section 791.011 (j)(2), that the following roof repair projects at various County Park locations do not require the preparation of plans or specifications required under chapters 1001 and 1051 of the Texas Occupational Code for architects and engineers.
In addition, approve the use of the TIPS cooperative contract number 211001 for a job order contract for the repairs to roofs damaged by Hurricane Beryl, as shown below and per the attached, with Jaco Roofing and Construction, Inc., of Angleton, Texas.
• Camp Mohawk at a cost of $23,617.00
• Quintana County Park at a cost of $18,078.00
• Resoft County Park at a cost of $81,090.00
• San Luis Pass County Park at a cost of $22,916.00
• Surfside Jetty County Park at a cost of $39,142.00
The project will be to furnish labor, equipment, and materials to complete the repairs and as these are Hurricane Beryl storm-related repair expenditures, the County will be requesting reimbursement from FEMA. Cost are tracked separately and covered by a transfer from the general fund.
The projects will utilize funding from the departments approved fiscal year 2024 budget.
Further, that the County Judge be authorized to sign any and all documents necessary to execute said agreements on behalf of the County.
