Adjustment of Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 and Precinct 1 Boundaries and Voting Precincts 39 and 16

Whereas, the Texas Constitution, Article 5, Section 18 provides that each county in the State, from time to time, for the convenience of the people, may alter justice of the peace precinct boundaries. The Commissioners Court of Brazoria County hereby finds that said alternations as described herein to be for the convenience of the people.
Thereby, the Commissioners Court of Brazoria County alters Justice of the Peace Precinct boundaries for Precinct 1 and Precinct 3 to enable the people to utilize one location for both Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 and Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 in Alvin, Texas.
Further, the Court finds that the alteration of both Justice of the Precinct boundaries complies with Texas Election Code Section 42.005 and thereby additionally modifies Voting Precincts 39 and 16 accordingly. The modification to both Justice of the Peace Precinct boundaries and Voting Precinct boundaries solely encompasses property owned by Brazoria County and does not affect any voters.
A map, along with the metes and bounds for the revised Voting Precincts 39 and 16 are attached and part of this Order. In addition, maps identifying the new boundaries for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 and Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 are attached.
The Court further orders that certified copies of this Order along with the attachments be provided to the Brazoria County Clerk and the County Engineering Department.
