Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has issued its 2024 Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Competitive Award Application. Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds can provide rental assistance, utility assistance, other financial assistance and housing stability case management services through Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing programs.
Brazoria County was not allocated Emergency Solutions Grant Funds for Program Year (PY) 2023 from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Entitlement process, therefore it is requested that Brazoria County authorizes the submission of the 2024 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA).
If so awarded, Brazoria County appoints the Director of the Community Development Department as authorized designee to represent Brazoria County and submit the application.
The County Judge is authorized to effectuate and execute any and all documents necessary related to the application, acceptance of award and execution of the Contract.
The County Auditor and County Treasurer are authorized to effectuate and execute any documents necessary related to submission of the application including but not limited to financial forms and certain form applications required by TDHCA.
