City of Iowa Colony - Release of Platted Roads from Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ)

Whereas, the owner of all lots located within Bel Grand Estates Subdivision, a Brazoria County subdivision and filed in the County Clerk’s File No. 2005-027928, has filed a petition of removal from the City of Iowa Colony’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ); and
Whereas, the Bel Grand Estates Subdivision contains public rights-of-way for roadway purposes which should be removed from the City’s ETJ simultaneously as the lots.
Therefore, the Court hereby authorizes providing the City of Iowa Colony a letter of no objection and/or a request to remove the public rights-of-way located in the platted subdivision from the City’s ETJ.
Further, that the County Judge, on behalf of Brazoria County, be authorized to sign the letter and any other documents pertaining to the removal of public rights-of-way located within Bel Grand Estates Subdivision from the City’s ETJ.
It is further ordered that a certified copy of this order be delivered to the County Engineer.
