Issue Change Orders for ITB #25-16 Construction for Follet’s Island Dune Restoration Phase 2 Blue Water Highway Dunes “Project” (Precinct 1)

Permission to issue change orders 1-4 to RES Environmental Operating Company, LLC to perform the following work:

 

                     Change Order No. 1:  Extend the original dune by 729 LF for a total of $215,700.00.

 

                     Change Order No. 2:  Repair the existing “Emergency Dunes” placed and subsequently damaged by Hurricane Beryl for a total of $46,200.00.

 

                     Change Order No. 3:  Requesting a contingency not to exceed $50,000.00 to be set up in case of additional unknown repairs or issues if required, and if not to be able to use to extend the limits of the dune project.

 

                     Change Order No. 4:  Changing the measurement of 2 bid items from units to LF. Zero dollar change order; and

 

Whereas, RES Environmental (Contractor) agrees that all change orders #1 through change order #4 amounts are not to exceed 25% of the original RES construction bid price of $1,259,763.29 for a total of $1,574,704.00; and

 

Whereas, copies of all the aforementioned change orders are attached; and

 

Whereas, funds for this expenditure are available via the General Land Office Grant awarded to the County for the “Project” via Court Order No. 7.B.1 that was approved on October 10, 2023 Commissioners Court.

 

Further, that a certified copy of this order be furnished to the County Engineer for distribution to all parties involved.
