Approve Temporary Closure of Hanson Park

WHEREAS, Sweeny ISD has reserved portions of Hanson Park for a University Interscholastic League (UIL) cross country event scheduled August 28, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the event will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.;
THEREFORE, that the Parks Director is hereby authorized to close the park for an adequate time before, during, and after the event to ensure the safety of all runners participating in the event. The Director will provide for adequate notice to the general public of the closure.
FURTHER, that a copy of this Order is to be furnished to the Parks Director.
