Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for Debris Removal Along Oyster Creek and Bastrop Bayou

Approve the Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with the following entities for the Debris Removal Along Oyster Creek and Bastrop Bayou:

 

                     City of Lake Jackson

                     City of Richwood

                     City of Clute

                     Town of Holiday Lakes

                     Village of Bailey’s Prairie

                     Angleton Drainage District

                     Velasco Drainage District

 

Whereas, this ILA is in reference to the Acceptance of Grant and Agreement Award with the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to provide technical and financial assistance to Brazoria County “Sponsor”, for EWP Project #5118 that was approved via Commissioners Court Order I.2 dated July 8, 2025; and

 

Whereas, the attached ILA outlines the roles, responsibilities, and financial contributions of each party to ensure the successful implementation of the project, Whereas, the Court approves utilization of Road & Bridge funds in the respective fiscal year for the County’s required share of anticipated cost; and

 

Whereas, upon confirmation by the Engineering Department that all required signatures have been obtained from Velasco Drainage District (VDD), the Court authorizes the Judge to execute this Order without the necessity of returning again to Court.

 

Further, that the County Judge be authorized to sign any and all documents relating to the project following review by the District Attorney’s Office and a that certified copy of this court order be furnished to the Engineering Department.
